I believe that, and I feel ironically people who use money to buy other people's time are probably more successful and tend to be richer. Your basic needs have to be met first before you have the luxury expend money on buying time, which allows you to get ahead and use your own time more efficiently, whether for pleasure or more money-making.

I grew up relatively poor and spending lots of time and effort to save money was justified because we had so little money it was better to save it for crucial needs. As an adult it's really hard to unlearn those habits. reminds me of the time in college that my sister and I decided to do a load of laundry by hand because it hurt us to spend $1.50 on wash and $1.25 on dry. ^^;

But I think it does make sense to do that if you can afford it.
